{{input}} = peacock witnesses the mechanical reconstruction of the subject within herself. In the image, the subject twiddles a single peacock feather in her hand, covering her own eyes with the eye of the peacock feather. The artist allowed the computer to determine how to replicate the subject’s face with the closest matching materials in the image, triggering a chain of displacement. The subject’s computer-generated likenesses rupture her visage, causing the subject and peacock feather to flatten and expand as they fuse with unnatural human forms approximating the matter of their beings.

Peacocks rely on their feathers to showcase health and genetic fitness. Here, the feather retains its function as an eye-catching symbol. Rather than signifying the health of the bird, however, it crowns the genetic feats of the machine as it sews a mutated tapestry imitating human fabric.
